Lesaka needs your help identifying this year’s ESG beneficiaries.

There is still time available to propose deserving candidates that would benefit from assistance Lesaka provides in terms of its BBBEE initiatives.

Our ESG funding can be applied to a very wide range of initiatives, from existing companies supplying Lesaka, companies you think could become Lesaka suppliers to community projects alleviating poverty. We are sure there are many deserving candidates out there – we just need to find them!

There are four categories our support covers, listed below with key criteria (there are more).

Enterprise Development
  • A well-structured, value-adding initiative with the aim of achieving impactful and measurable commercial outcomes
  • The business must not be an existing supplier to Lesaka but must have the potential to become one in the future
Supplier Development
  • A well-structured, value-adding initiative with the aim of achieving impactful and measurable commercial outcomes
  • The business must be an active supplier to Lesaka
Socio-Economic Development
  • We aim to provide individuals with the necessary resources, education, mentorship, and an environment that encourages innovative thinking, problem solving and experimentation that can lead to job creation and poverty alleviation
  • The project must benefit at least 75% Black beneficiaries
Corporate Social Investment
  • We are committed to supporting community members who demonstrate an entrepreneurial potential that can lead to job creation and poverty alleviation. This includes offering assistance with necessary mentorship, equipment, or infrastructure to empower individuals in sustaining and expanding their entrepreneurial initiatives.
  • The project must benefit at least 75% Black beneficiaries

Proposals need to be in by 10th January 2025 so we can complete all our assessments and distributions by our financial year end in June.
